Ties caused by a frenum, tissue that connects and holds other tissues in place, that may be too tight, thick, or short. If a frenum is interfering with the normal movement and function of the tongue, lips or cheeks, our Study Club dentists can correct this with a surgical procedure called a frenectomy.
