The Pace of Care
Stevenson Dental Group is intentionally not a high-volume practice. We work at a pace that supports careful
diagnosis, thoughtful planning, and precise execution.
Appointments are structured to allow time for evaluation, discussion, and decision-making. We do not rush
treatment recommendations or pressure patients into same-day decisions unless clinically necessary.
If you are seeking the fastest or most transactional dental experience, our practice may not be the right fit.
Your First Visit
Your first visit is focused on understanding your oral health, risk factors, and priorities. Depending on your
needs, this may include diagnostic imaging, photographs, and a comprehensive exam.
If you have a specific concern—such as pain, a broken tooth, or a failed restoration—we will address it. We will
also look for contributing factors that may influence long-term stability.

How Treatment Decisions Are Made
We do not sell dentistry. We diagnose, explain, and recommend. Every treatment choice involves tradeoffs related
to biology, longevity, function, and maintenance.
Our role is to make those tradeoffs clear so you can make informed decisions. We will never pressure you into
treatment, and we will also never recommend care we do not believe is warranted.
In some cases, the most appropriate recommendation may be to monitor or defer treatment.
Fees, Insurance, and Financial Responsibility
Stevenson Dental Group does not participate with dental insurance plans. Payment is due at the
time services are provided.
As a courtesy, we provide documentation to assist you in submitting claims to your insurance carrier for
reimbursement, if applicable. Reimbursement is determined by your plan and is paid directly to you.
Treatment recommendations are based on diagnosis and long-term prognosis—not insurance coverage.
Financing Options
For patients who prefer to spread payments over time, we offer third-party financing through
CareCredit. Financing options are reviewed in advance so decisions can be made with clarity.
Is This the Right Fit?
A good fit if you:
- Value careful diagnosis and clear explanations
- Prefer conservative, durability-focused dentistry
- Are comfortable paying at the time of service and seeking insurance reimbursement independently
- Prefer direct communication with the practice
May not be a good fit if you:
- Want treatment decisions driven primarily by insurance coverage
- Are seeking the lowest-cost or fastest option
- Prefer online scheduling or automated intake forms
Care Within a Teaching Environment
Stevenson Dental Group is the patient-care affiliate of Stevenson Dental Solutions, through which our doctors teach and collaborate with other dentists.
In select cases, care may occur in a supervised educational setting. Participation is always voluntary
and based on suitability, supervision, and informed consent.
